Plain-English summary. ThreeToFive is an hour tracker for IBEW electrical apprentices. We collect only what the app needs to log your hours and, if you make an account, to back them up and sync them across your devices. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs. You can delete your account and all of your data at any time — from inside the app or by requesting deletion here.

1. Who we are

ThreeToFive ("ThreeToFive", "we", "us") is an application that helps IBEW electrical apprentices log their on-the-job training and classroom hours against the standard work-process categories, track progress toward journeyman, and produce the monthly report.

[COUNSEL] Insert the legal entity / individual developer name and mailing address that operates ThreeToFive (as it appears on the Google Play listing and any business registration).

2. Two versions of ThreeToFive

How your data is handled depends on which version you use. This policy covers both, and calls out the difference wherever it matters.

Android app (Google Play)

You can use the app without an account, in which case your data stays on your device. If you create an account (with your email address), your profile and logged hours are backed up to our cloud database so they survive a lost phone and sync across your devices.

Web app (browser / installable PWA)

The web version runs entirely in your browser. Your data is stored locally on your device (in your browser's storage) and is not sent to us. The web version has an optional one-time paid upgrade, which is processed by our payment provider (see Sharing).

3. What we collect

We only collect data you enter yourself, plus the minimum needed to run an account. Grounded in what the app actually stores:

DataWhereWhen
Email address (and a password you set)Android app accountOnly if you create an account. The password is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see it in plain text.
Name, employer, jobsite, classificationAndroid app / Web appWhen you fill in your profile (used to label your reports).
Logged hours — date, number of hours, work-process category, description/notes, journeyman name, employer, jobsite, holiday flagAndroid app / Web appEach time you log a day of work or classroom time.
Requirement settings — target hours, per-category required hours and starting balancesAndroid app / Web appWhen you configure your goals.
App settings — reminder preferences, themeOn your deviceReminder scheduling stays on your device.
A note on other people's names. The "journeyman" field lets you record the name of a journeyman you worked under. If you enter someone else's name, that name is part of your logged data and is handled the same way as the rest of it (stored for you, deletable by you).

What we do not collect

4. Why we collect it

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to tracking your apprenticeship hours.

5. How your data is stored and protected

6. How your data is shared

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work:

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users — [COUNSEL] confirm wording for legal-process disclosures.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (see below), your profile and logged hours are permanently deleted from our cloud database and from the app on your device. Data in the web version stays on your device until you clear it or delete it in the app.

[COUNSEL] Confirm any backup-retention window (e.g. how long deleted rows may persist in encrypted database backups before rotation) and state it here.

8. Your rights

You can:

[COUNSEL] Add jurisdiction-specific rights language as applicable (e.g. GDPR/UK-GDPR access, portability, objection, and complaint-to-a-supervisory-authority rights; CCPA/CPRA "right to know / delete / not be discriminated against"). Confirm which regions the app is offered in.

9. Deleting your account and data

Inside the Android app (fastest)

Open Profile → Danger Zone → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and all of your logged hours from both our cloud database and your device. There is no undo, so export a backup first if you might want the data later.

Without the app (public request)

If you can't use the app, you can request deletion here: ThreeToFive account deletion request. Tell us the email address on your account and we will delete the account and its data.

Web-version data lives only in your browser; clearing the app's data (or deleting it in the app) removes it.

10. Children

ThreeToFive is intended for working electrical apprentices and is not directed to children. [COUNSEL] Confirm the minimum-age statement (e.g. not for use by anyone under 13, or under 16 in the EEA/UK) to match the Play listing's target-audience setting.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

12. Contact
